I am a retired American social studies teacher and I am distressed by the actions of my president. As a student of history, I view him as the worst American ever for he has harmed the country in countless ways and turned us into a big, dumb, rogue nation.
His corruption of the Department of Justice has perverted the application of constitutional law. His corruption inside the White House in crypto, prediction markets, simple graft, and pay-for-play is beyond criminal.
Trump’s attacks on Canada are reprehensible and utterly stupid. Both Xi and Putin are jealous of America’s peaceful and friendly neighbors. Trump, who never read a history book, went out of his way to alienate best friends.
He is untethered to truth, decency, honor, facts, law, morals, principles or ethics. Trump is America’s leading demagogue; George Wallace, Joe McCarthy, and Father Coughlin all wrapped up in a TACO.
I worry about the character of America’s children born during his tempestuous and oily time. He is without compassion, courtesy and common sense, a role model of the worst sorts. In five generations, not one Trump has served in the military which he believes is for suckers.
The Iran War is a Colossal Farce, Strategic Failure, and Global Economic Disaster for Canada, EU / NATO and Global Allies.
The orange man had no plan and is extricating himself in any way possible. It’s a sad day for our country when one is inclined to believe the Iranians instead of the White House, the State Department, or the Pentagon. The Straits of Hormuz will be clogged for months; oil markets may be disrupted for the rest of the year. Stay tuned for an Iran War Update when this war is really over.

I have been to all the Canadian provinces and the Yukon Territory. I love the nation and its people and natural beauty and common decency.
It is unimaginable that an American President could be moronic enough to purposely hurt Canada but our economically illiterate leader in the White House went out of his way to harm our wonderful northern neighbor. The removal of tariffs quadrupled trade between the US, Canada, and Mexico 1990 – 2025. The needless tariff sledgehammer will not help an unemployed worker in Ohio find a manufacturing job no matter how many times Trump gushes lies about trade imbalances.
I apologize to every Canadian and beg them to believe that the future holds a return to normalcy after the thieving narcissist leaves office. Prime Minister Mark Carney is doing a yeoman job leading Canada through this perilous time by shoring up the Middle Power’s place in the world.
Apology to the EU / NATO Countries and Global Allies: Only an Asshole Attacks and Undermines Wealthy, Democratic Friends that Love You.
Yes, he got the allies to pump up defense spending to 5% and jumpstart new industries such as drone warfare and expanded their armies, too. But he did it in the worst possible way by insulting and abusing good friends because decency, kindness, understanding and sacrifice for the common good are foreign to him.
Putin invaded Ukraine four years ago in a failed effort to subjugate it by force. The Ukrainians valiantly defended their nation and are defeating the Russians. Trump has at times given Ukraine the weaponry needed to fight the war.
Just as often, Trump has not supported Zelensky so as to not anger Putin too much. Trump should be helping Ukraine weaken the Russian Army to the point they never threaten Europe again.
As of May 7, 2026, apparently 37% still approve of Trump and his behavior. May God have mercy on their misguided souls and also punish Trump accordingly. A just outcome is Jack Smith becoming Special Prosecutor on the Epstein Files and the next US Attorney-General.
